L’evento permette di discutere riguardo a come combattere la corruzione al livello internazionale e in modo più efficace. Sulla base di ricenti ricerche (da citare la DFID Evidence Paper) molti ricercatori, politici, avvocati ed esperti cercheranno di affrontare e trattare temi come cos’è e come funziona la corruzione, quali sono le opinioni dei cittadini riguardo agli sforzi che i propri paesi compiono per combattere la corruzione. Public event to discuss how international development actors can tackle corruption more effectively in the contexts where they work.
Drawing in particular on a recent DFID Evidence Paper and other emerging research on corruption, speakers from the fields of research, policymaking, practice and advocacy will address the following questions:
• What do we know about corruption and what works in tackling it? A look at the evidence
• What do people in donor countries think about corruption and anti-corruption efforts? And why might this matter?
• So what?Implications for research, policy and practice.
